One thing I would like to say is that often before gintetg more personal computer memory, consider the machine in which it could well be installed. If your machine is usually running Windows XP, for instance, a memory threshold is 3.25GB. Applying in excess of this would basically constitute just a waste. Make sure one's motherboard can handle the upgrade amount, as well. Interesting blog post.
